Steel Stretch Frame

The Steel Stretch Frame offers an economical frame option for machines with 17" to 23" throat, including Raya and Flair.  It can be drop shipped and easily assembled by the consumer.  The consumer will need to purchase two items not included in the SSF Kit, quantity of seven EMT electrical conduit and pattern deck boards the length of the frame.

It's a Nolting!

When your husband is a machinist, fabricator, and machine builder, he looks at equipment with different eyes.  Eyes that look at how it is engineered, built, and crafted.  When he saw the Nolting longarms and frames at a large quilt show a few days before making this statement, he was immediately impressed with the Nolting frame. Functional, he knew the clear span foundation had the strength, support, and stability to support the longarm.  Testing the Nolting machines, I knew that Nolting's features and stitch quality were crafted for my quilting journey.  Only later did we realize the benefit of the one time investment in the commercial frame.  It was simply designed to grow with me as I traded up from a 20" Fun Quilter to a Pro 24, and now to the 24" Diamond.

NOLTING FRAMES

Is a frame included with the machine purchase?

Yes.

Diamond and Elara bundles include the commercial frame, standard 12' length.  Custom length and other upgrades may be added.

Raya and Flair can bundle with either the commercial frame or the steel stretch frame. 

Can a frame be shipped to me?

Steel Stretch Frame - can be shipped UPS because it fits within the UPS parameters for size and weight.

Commercial Frame - ships truck freight because of weight and length.  Nolting works with various freight companies to ship the most economical way.

What comes with the Commercial Frame?

The commercial frame purchase includes the complete frame and hardware, carriage, heavy canvas leaders with a sewn casing, instructions, and quilt clamps.

Does anything additional need to be purchased?

Commercial Frame - No, everything is included.

SSF - Yes.  Seven lengths of EMT 1.25" ID (inside diameter) electrical conduit, boards for the frame deck the length of the deck, canvas or heavy duck cloth for leaders.

Who sets up the frame (system)?

Setup depends on who it is purchased from.  Most dealers will set up the frame and system for their customers.  If purchased directly from Nolting, ask about setup.

Can the Steel Stretch Frame be upgraded?

No.  Other than adding a light bar or Quiltmagine, the frame itself can't be upgraded.

What is included with the Steel Stretch Frame purchase?

The SSF Kit includes all frame parts, hardware (nuts and bolts), brackets, inserts for the conduit, clamps, carriage, and instruction manual with photos of every assembly step.  Not included: leaders, EMT conduit, and deck boards.  Conduit and deck boards can be purchased from most big box hardware stores.
