Holding a degree in Computer Science from Kent State University, Linda began her professional life as a member of the support staff at a large utility company. After starting her family and choosing to be a stay-at-home mom, she started sewing crafts and quilts as a type of therapy. What started as a craft business in 1998 became a longarm quilting business in 2001, using a Nolting Longarm machine. As a perpetual student, Linda traveled to take classes in everything, igniting a passion in quilt shows and judging. Enrolling in the Certified Judging Program brought her into the folds of the National Quilting Association. She served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the NQA from 2010 to 2014, when she served as the NQA Show Director. As the owner and operator of the first computerized longarm quilting rental studio in Ohio, Linda is now an author of "Got IQ 2017", an IntelliQuilter resource guide and workbook, and believes you should never stop learning. Now a Director of the Quilt Camp at Cedar Lakes, Linda feels she has come full circle as she orchestrates the learning of hundreds of quiltmakers each year, continuing an event that has existed for over 35 years, Linda enjoys teaching and sharing tips and techniques while making lifelong friendships. As one who is passionate about all aspects of quilting, Linda has enjoyed every minute of over 18 years in the quilting world, and looks forward to sharing all that she can about her experiences.
